Our Funders

Thank You to Our Supporters

At Glasgow Acting Academy SCIO, we are incredibly grateful to the trusts, organisations, businesses, and individuals who make our work possible. Their generosity allows us to provide affordable and accessible performing arts education, ensuring that no young person is excluded due to financial barriers.

Funding is essential to keeping our scholarship programme, as well as our facilities running and expanding, giving young people the chance to develop their confidence, creativity, and skills in a supportive environment. Without this support, many students would miss out on the opportunity to take part in something truly life-changing.

Scholarship Funders

Our Scholarship Programme ensures that young people, regardless of financial circumstances, can participate in our classes and productions. Thanks to the support of our funders, approximately 15% of our students currently receive full or partial scholarships, with demand increasing every year.

In 2025, our Scholarship Programme is generously supported by:

  • Scottish Children’s Lottery Fund

  • Mary Janet King Trust

Their contributions allow students to develop their skills, grow in confidence, and be part of our vibrant community. As one scholarship recipient shared:

Funders of Our Wider Work

Beyond scholarships, we rely on the generosity of funders to improve our facilities, and expand our reach.

We have been fortunate to receive funding for:

  • Lighting and sound equipment, helping to improve the quality of our student performances.

  • The renovation of our back rooms, an ongoing project aimed at transforming our facilities for students and audiences alike.

  • Our Easter/Summer schoolsOur Easter/Summer schools, providing young people with accessible opportunities to develop their skills, build confidence, and take part in intensive performing arts experiences during school holidays.

Our work is made possible by the support of the Hugh Fraser Foundation, and the Skipton Building Society, whose contributions help us continue delivering high-quality performing arts education.

Community & Individual Supporters

In addition to grant funding, our work is sustained by the dedication of our community—students, families, and friends of Glasgow Acting Academy SCIO—who support us through fundraising and donations.

  • Kiltwalk – In the past, our students, staff, and families take part in this event to raise money for our scholarship fund.

  • Ongoing community donations – Families and supporters regularly contribute to ensure we can continue to grow and support more young people.

To everyone who has fundraised, donated, or helped spread the word about our work—thank you. Your support makes a real difference.
