OUR CHARITY STATUS
OUR CHARITY STATUS
After years of running as a successful performing arts academy, Glasgow Acting Academy became a registered charity in 2015 (SC045682) with a mission to make the performing arts accessible to all young people, regardless of their financial background. This transition was a natural evolution for the organisation, as our commitment to inclusivity and opportunity had been at the heart of our work since the very beginning.
Our mission shapes every decision we make—from the classes we offer and the programmes we participate in to how we grow and expand as a charity. As a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), we are committed to ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to develop their confidence, creativity, and talent, no matter their financial circumstances. Every penny we receive is reinvested into our work, enabling us to provide low-cost classes, fully and partially funded scholarships, and high-quality training opportunities for young people across Glasgow.
We are proud to be a small charity making a big impact, and we are deeply grateful for the incredible community that supports us. From our funders and donors to our alumni, students, and their families, each plays a vital role in championing our work. Their generosity and belief in what we do make it possible for us to continue shaping the future of young performers and fostering a lifelong love for the arts.
